Unfortunately, we are forced to cancel nearly all the 2020 NWEpic Series races. Because our races are larger than 50 participants, government agencies cannot issue permits until the venue is in Phase 4. Unfortunately, we don't know when or if this will happen in time for our events. As of July 1, we MAY be able to have the Stottlemeyer race, as it is in Kitsap County and mostly on private land. If we are able to go ahead with Stottlemeyer, we'll be following strict guidelines to limit contact between everyone involved. Anyone who is currently registered for a cancelled race will be automatically deferred to next year's race. Please check back later for updates and thank you for your patience.
All riders are automatically included in the Northwest Epic Series standings.
Sign up for 3 or more races by May 15 and get a 15% discount!
Series standings are based on the following categories:
–Jr Women (17 and under)*
–Jr Men (17 and under)*
*These categories are only eligible for NW Epic Series points at the following races/distances:
–Stottlemeyer 30 miles
–Echo Valley 30 miles
–Mission: Granduro 25 miles
–Suntop 30 miles
–Capitol Forest 50 miles
You don't have to race at only the longest distance: all points you earn in an eligible category will be added to your total.
At each race, each category winner receives 100 points. Everyone else in a category receives points according to the following formula: Winner's Time divided by Your Time times 100.
–Best 3 out of 5 races count
–Highest total wins
–In case of a tie, 4th race breaks tie (5th if still a tie)
–In case there is still a tie, overall combined distances of all races breaks tie
–The first place rider in each category receives a free entry into a Northwest Epic Series event next year along with a growler of Manny's compliments of Georgetown Brewery
–Top three riders in each category will each get a custom award and a pair of NWEpic Series socks or hoorag
–In the open men and open women categories, there will also be cash prizes. The 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place rider in these two categories will each receive $200, $100 and $50 respectively. If there are fewer than 10 participants in a series category, cash prizes will be as follows: 1st place–$100, 2nd place–$50, 3rd place–$25
